Free beach mat with Avon Purchase

Received an email saying my order had been dispatched but that the beach mats were out of stock. Not too happy as I feel I should have been given the choice as to whether or not I still wanted my order.0

Im an avon lady and 3 of my customers have ordered products that come with the free beach mats, due to the large amount of people who have found the 'scam' of getting free beach mats without buying anything, my genuine customers who have paid money for items to get the beach mats cant have them as there are none left.
I wondered if there was anyone who has had them through this source would donate 3 to me for my customers who have paid for them.
Please PM me, i would really appreciate your help in this matter
Hi, I am am an Avon Rep and am on book 10 so back ordered peoples sun creams to book 9 to get the balls and mats. I have viewed my online invoice and receiving the balls and the mats have been substituted with summer bags think they will be the pink ones, so you will be getting something perhaps not so great. Will see on Wednesday whem I get my order.
I don't feel that people on here have caused the shortage, working with Avon for 15 years my orders are always short. It was just a good deal that Avon overlooked with the £1.50 lip balms about £1.12 to us reps.
People on here that were entitled to them with the sun product purchases may also get the mat substituted with the bag so not a complete disaster there is hope still.0 -
It wasn't the £1.50 lip balm/sun screen deal i was talking about, people could put nothing in there basket but still get the beach mats for free, its upsetting as my customer specically stated that she wanted the beach mats for holiday - fingers crossed ill be able to get some for her!!:AMSE has changed me for the better!!DD1 arrived 15/5/11, ]:money:0

I realise that, but it is doubtful that anyone on here that didn't buy the creams will actually get them so Avon did not have enough in the first place for any genuine orders.0 -
you are right kronen avon should`nt advertise that you will get the beach mat free if they don`t have enough in stock,if i do not get mine i will never order from them again,so they will have lost a customer.i `ll keep you posted on what happens when i receive my order0

I did also offer one but don't think rachealc read the post judging by the one posted underneath. dosn't anyone else think the website should be cheaper because they don't hve to pay comission?
Hope everyone's enjoying this lovely weekend!

Very kind of you to offer rachelc one, however I found the post insulting concidering it's her first. As I have said her customers will get an alternative which will probably be the same as mine summer bags.
It wasn't a 'scam' it was a glitch. If you didn't have the Avon brochure you wouldn't know what they came free with. On any site if something was coming up at £0.00 we'd all go for it.
I would be worried if Avon's website was cheaper due to me being put out of work as a rep along with others. With 3 small kids it's the ideal job, childcare is so expensive. Avon internet shoppers do well with the free gifts that get given with minimum spend which brochure shoppers don't get. Also the A-list benefits seem good, even with the commision I get I may be using Avon private shopping more often. Only joint in the week for this glitch and I don't feel bad at all.
I think I will get my balls as I haven't had any notice of this to say unavailable just the mats.
Hope you are having fun in the sun too.0 -

I have read the posts as i have thanked both the people who have offered me a mat if indeed they get them.
Many thanxMSE has changed me for the better!!DD1 arrived 15/5/11, ]:money:0 -
thats a bit rotten. I only order from my Avon lady, not on line. I ordered some sun screen to get the free mat and she said they hadn't sent any. Now I know why. Do you think this means I won't get one?[/QUOTE]
Sorry Miss-spent to hear of your troubles. I would get back on to your rep as you are genuinly entitled to something, and say your sister got a summer bag as an alternative. I believe Avon would have sent her something instead, unless her invoice said temporilly out of stock in the belief they were getting more. Please keep us informed on this matter. Is your rep long serving and honest? I constantly correct orders when it's 3 for 2 and they pay for 3, or 3 for £5.00 and pay individualy. Rather than make extra money out of them I see it as a long term benefit that they know they can trust me and will remain my customer.0
