just phoned lloyds for copies of old loans (they def charged ppi and said i couldnt have loan otherwise) they tell me on phone that i cant claim anything back as they have my signature agreeing to the terms, even though i had to sign or i wouldnt get the loan does anyone know if this is true, i didnt then know that it was optional and wasnt made aware of this can anyone help

what they have said is what the person in the call centre thinks is true. They know nothing about PPI and you cant see if you have a claim without their specialist department looking into the case.
Last time I spoke to someone in a call centre at a bank I asked her how best to submit a DSAR and she said "a what? I don't know what you mean?" :rolleyes:0 -
I would not actually ring about your complaint and instead write to them recorded delivery. They have 8 weeks to give you their final response. As melorablack says, the person who you spoke to was only a call centre member of staff and not a complaints handler. You just need to write giving your reasons for misselling.
