M&S "Dine in for £10" starts Thursday 19th

went to 2 of our local M & S's today to find that they have had to withdraw the dine in for £10 due to overwhelming demand (no puds at one store and no mains at the other) , although a checkout operator at the 2nd store admitted that there had been delivery problems in the area and they did not receive a delivery this morning.... I must admit I was a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to one of their nice chickens....0

Went to M&S Friday afternoon. The only main left was Lasagne in LEamington Spa. Probably wont bother again as made a trip into town just for this.0

or don't bother checking out the chickens on the usual chicken shelves, we usually manage to find decent sized ones thereI think you'll find that any chickens over £7 value will be stripped off the shelves as soon as they are put out this weekend!
(Although it amazes me how many people pick the smaller ones without even crouching down and reaching to the back of the fridge for any larger ones, like I do
.)0 -
Can you lovely helpful people help me settle an argument??
I have never been able to get to M&S for this £10 deal on the weeks that the offer is on (either already bought my food for the week therefore cannot justify buying more food or cannot get there between thurs & sun).
Workmate is adamant that this deal is on EVERY week, EVERY day 365 days a year???
....... I really dont think so, but am I wrong???
Have I been missing bargain of the century?
Thanks kindly....taking one day at a time, its all we can do!

No you are not wrong - sadly!
If you were then there would not be any threads about it when they come up - which is roughly every 2-3 weeks depending on the time of year. Each time the menu is slightly different, but on average you get a 35-40% saving than if you bought them individually.
A lot of the stuff is freezer friendly so will store well - helps with the non justification argument!Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -

Well I guess it could be a regional thing, but I can assure you that in my closest store in north west England the offer is definitely NOT on every day of the year!
I can only go to M & S on Tuesday or Wednesday these days, and this offer is not in my local store on those days.
In fact I believe the offer has only just recently been started up again.
I'll be going tomorrow. if the dine in for £10 offer is on in my store I'll update the thread - but I know already it wont be

Great Thanks for clarifying, off to inform my workmate, who it turns out does not even BUY the deal!!
Her sister and mother apparently use the deal "every" Friday.......
They do say however Tesco has now started the deal, off to check as the Tesco is nearer me!
Cheers!....taking one day at a time, its all we can do!

Sainsbury's were also doing a similar deal the week-end before last.0

Waitrose have done it too but, having looked at the Sainsbury's recent offer also, still think M & S is the one to beat. Having said that, I usually only do it when there's either a fresh chicken (like the one last weekend) or other fresh meat like sirloin steaks they had a couple of months back. The large packs of mussels was quite good too.0
-
ooh yes the mussles were lovely!
my local m&s had next to nothing left by lunch time last saturday, i didn't think they had ordered as much as they normally do.
does any one know if the deal will happen again before xmas??
thank you.0
