Microsoft have just released a Beta Version Spyware Removal tool. We've been playing around with this and its pretty good considering its still a Beat version (Beta= test).
Seems to be functionally as good as SpyBot and perhaps more user friendly.
Looks like Microsoft are releasing their new operating system bit by bit ::)

It's rebadged Giant Antispyware - they bought the company

I wonder if it picks up the Alexa tracker which used to be in Internet Explorer ?
No signs of Microsoft Antivirus yet. They did buy a Romainian Antivirus Company a while back.
OT:
Microsoft have tried to buy Macromedia a few times and been told to go forth and multiply...
as a response Microsoft is working on Flash and Shockwave equivalents which should appear later this year.
Microsoft aren't the only people who buy companies to get there products, Symantec (Norton) have a habit of doing it.
e.g.
Ghost (actually 2 companies, version 9 is a rebadged Powerquest Drive Image. Can't remember who made the original version).
Norton Firewall
Checkpoint bought Zonealarm as it was eating their market share....
Loads of others.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
