Something a friend told me about empire, in the small print if you don't place an order from the catalogue they can charge you £4 for it! Also it remains their property and must be returned upon request. :-/

Would it not be the courier courier company that left it in the greenhouse?

As for the catalogue - if you buy online you don't get one...

Personally I have had no trouble with them and so would use them again - if there was anything there worth buying. They certainly won't be a place I go to regularly though as in general they are IMO overpriced.

I had a bad experience with them in November. Ordered a portable CD player in the 'Summer' sale reduced from £80 to £25 for my daughter's Chrimbo. They claimed to despatch it to the local courier who claimed he delivered it, but didn't. Even suggested he left a card in the greenhouse (don't have one) or the dustbin (very stupid as there's a letterbox).

Perhaps Empire do what they say, but their courrier system stinks, and from my perspective its Empire's decision to choose a courrier company. So Empire don't get any more business from me. Its no bargain if they can't deliver it.

Richer sounds saved the day.
