I know a lot of you have had a bad relationship with Empire, but I have just received a sales leaflet from them with some good bargains, i.e.

YB5250 Universal boys bmx bike size B (14" wheels to suit inside leg 40-51cms) Was £109.99, now £38.99

PS2 game The Getaway XB8623 now £15 was £50

Siemens C45 PAYG on Vodaphone FL2566 now £59 was £119

Mallard live steam engine TP0560 was £549.99 now £357

Nao 'The Dance is Over' JS1350 was £74.99 now £44.99

You only get the sales leaflet when you order something. I ordered a couple of things via their sale on the website. When they arrived today with the leaflet, I found that they had been further reduced. I phoned, asking if I could send the items back and re-order them at the cheaper price and the bloke there sorted it out by computer saying they will charge me the cheaper prices. That's what I call good service!

but the leaflet prices only show up at the lower prices when you put in the amended catalogue number.

For example, the bike catalogue number is YG5250 but the reduced price number is YB5250.

There isn't a logic to the new numbers, but I suppose if you found something you want, you could keep changing the second letter to see if it comes up any cheaper!

i wouldnt touch these incompetents muppets with a barge pole....if a ps2 was on sale at 1p i wouldnt buy from these as they will probably take £1000 from your credit card without telling you....just about to perform a chargeback with them fffrom the last fiasco 2 months ago.

Sent my stuff back - they deducted more that they should and refused to refund the difference.

Will definitely avoid, Empire, Littlewoods, and The Store, as they are all as bad as each other, and some are the same company anyway. >:(
