Thanks for all your encouragement - my family haven't even noticed lol!! I shall definitely try to put some flowers around the place and maybe light some smelly candles too. I also have the windows on the list - newspaper and vinegar I think as I hear it works wonders.
Now if I could just stop looking at rightmove at the house of my dreams which went on this morning!!

The best quote i have heard regarding this is something close to as follows

"Why do you want to keep up with the jones's? They are heading for bankruptcy, do you really want to follow them?"

    Genius

Well done on the house, just think of the memories you already have there a and the many more to come

You dont need a huge house to be happy

I know what you mean, i would love a bigger house with more space but no chance of that for a few years yet so i am doing two things.

    1. I am spending lots of TLC on this place, cleaning, trying to fix what i can, for as little as possible and decorating as cheaply and creatively as possible.

    2. I am already looking for what kind of house we want to buy once out of debt and making a little file of possbilities. Personally we are hoping to buy some land and buy one of those enviromental flat pack homes which could actually work out cheaper than buying a normal home. Anyway we have at least 3 years to look into it all and make some decisions by which time the file should be full:D

Sometimes it really is like the old saying, its not what you look at it is what you see.

It sounds like you and I are in similar positions Queen B. Still if the money saving goes to plan we will be in a much better position in a few years to really decide on our options. Meanwhile, on with the cleaning!!
