I was going to post that you can run 2 sound cards no problem, I have a USB phone for skype and it is configured as a sound card.

You need to set the default card for windows to the card you use for itunes and everything else then in the phone software you should have a device selection option and you select the 2nd sound card as the device to use and plug your headset in to that soundcard.

Thanks Little John. This was exactly what I had planned to do! However it just isn't working. I'm currently running the Windows Messenger Live BETA and trying out the Verizon service with that. Do you think it is this which is causing the problems? I keep getting my the dial tone through the speakers, and my music through both. Very confusing!

Have you tried two other programs that use audio and set their default playback , separatley to each soundcard to see if that works

eg, real player and media player

It is possible to run two soundcards together. Done it myself some time ago and I've seen other people doing it.

Both of these DJ progs ask you if you have 1 or 2 soundcards......then you can configure them to do certain tasks. MIC/LINE-OUT/HEADPHONES etc.

Do both your soundcards show up in device manager. I always stuck to SB sound cards so not sure about other makes/models.
