Items not sold in any Sainsburys shop - yet on the shelves!!!!

I was in Sainsburys this morning and picked up a box for Band Hero on PS3 - full kit version RRP £170 - with the sticker price of £39.99. Upon trying to pay for the item, I was told that they did not have the full kit set in stock and that in fact, no Sainsburys in the country had it or would be getting it.
Firstly - why have something on the shelves which you know you do not sell.
Secondly - do I have any rights?!
Thanks.

Firstly; they're out of stock. Haven't updated the display. Cry some more.
Secondly; you have the right to shop elsewhere.0 -
IIRC there was some sort of regulation passed against this?
Weren't Tesco doing something similar?
Advertising heavily cut priced spirits then none of the stores having them in stock?0 -
