Business insurance?

Hi all

I recently started a thread about the Ghd Hair Vending Business and i was told by the company that the vending machine comes with product liability insurance so could anyone explain exactly what this is? and they then said i would need Business Insurance so again could somebody explain exactly what this is?
I Will need an electrician to fit the unit so they would have Public Liability i assume to cover any problems or damage they cause to my clients property, but i was wondering if i should have it too?

Thanks for you time.

If your customers is injured or their property is damaged by the product they buy from you etc it will be you they sue, your insurance (Product Liability) will deal with the claim and then sue the person up the chain you bought from and so on.

If you are injured etc by the machine or product you will sue the agent you are buying from and not the GHD head office

Your customer will not sue the electrician, they will go after you, therefore you need to buy your own product liability

Product liability insurance covers you against damages awarded as a result of damage to property or personal injury caused by your product. If damages are paid for personal injury, the NHS can claim to recover the costs of hospital treatment (including ambulance costs). This applies to incidents that occur either on or after 29 January 2007.
