What can I plant now?

Really new to gardening, I have a slabbed garden with about 15 pots (rented accommodation so can't dig the slabs up) what can I plant now in the tubs? I like flowers and veg, wanted something that would be ready from March to about August either to eat or look pretty (not sure if I will be renewing then or not)
The garden is very sheltered but does get sun.
Any suggestions would be greatly recieved.

God helps make my veggie patch grow. He provides everything I need.. It only fails if I do NOT do as He has told me!!

I'm pretty sure that tomatoes, courgettes and cucumbers would struggle a little atm. Unless you live in new zealand or something.
Cauliflower, turnips, winter lettuce and radish might be alright. Depends what the weather does from now on and how sheltered the garden is.
    Not sure about celery.

You could go for perpetual spinach. that would do well into next year. Garlic can go in now as well.
Cauliflower would be very hard to do in a pot, same as most large brassicas.

  • maybe onions?? I might be wrong.

or give it till after xmas and go for broad beans like me :) They'll need support though.
