the technically challenged one returns
a while back i downloaded a free trial of some software, which i later deleted because it was rubbish
although i unistalled it via the control panel/add or remove software facility, it has left bits of itself behind.
now, whenever i open MS word, i get a security warning, which says the directory address for MS office (with particular reference to the start up folder) contains macros from the programme i unistalled. it is then followed by the macros can be dangerous blurb, do you wish to enable or disbale macros?
im not having any problems with funcionality of MS word once i disable the macros, its just rather tedious having to do it every time i open word (which is frequently).
can anyone advise how i go about removing the cursed macros so word can go back to normal?

i dont know if it makes any difference, but when i follow the directory address to the source, ie to the MS word template in the start up folder, it is under the name of the software i downloaded.
the only files in the folder are the template and a copy/back up file of the template. can i just delete them, or will that completely mess up word?know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
rename it, try word, if it works, delete it.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
