The homework was to find pictures of winter, enough to fill 2 pieces of A4 paper and print it off. No writing, no captions, nothing, nada, zilch. Can someone please explain to an old simple nan what on earth he is going to learn from that?
If his school is like mine was then it's quite possible that the pictures will be used in a project in class and the teachers have asked him to print the pictures off at home rather than spend an extra lesson trying to get 20+ students to the computer room and to stick on task when there is the opportunity to play games/facebook etc xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Evening all.
Tried to have a shower in my new en suite before I went out. Spent ages cleaning it from top to bottom coz it was really dusty etc. But when it came to using the shower all I got was cold water or colder waterI was so upset I just burst into tears. How stupid! Saw the bloke who fitted it all and he's gonna come and check it. Allister reckons the heating element has gone. I hope it's quick and easy to fix. I was totally gutted and stupidly cried for ages - over a stupid shower!
Here's two pics of my en suite all clean and ready to use though... just not the shower bit! http://www.twitpic.com/zdpiu http://www.twitpic.com/zdpkp
But anyway, I have had a lovely evening out. Been ten pin bowling. And I wonTook my photo of the day at the bowing alley which I've just put on my blog and onto facebook. Now sat looking at the photos of us bowling and drinking a cuppa.
I hope you are all ok and have had nice Saturdays. Doing anything nice tomorrow?Life is all about the journey.0 -
Aww Splodz, this is frustrating but at least you now have a brand new en-suite and soon you will be enjoying using it...:D
A fabby bathroom is on my wish list but have to put it on hold for a couple of years lol (in the meanwhile, I shall be working hard to save for it)
Having a chardonnay  I don't normally drink white but it is aged in French oak and is worth testing(I have to say I don't know the difference between French oak and English oak ....oak is oak)...

I know I'm so lucky to have this new en suite and having no shower for the last three weeks has been a pain but it's been ok and I've managed because I knew that it was gonna be great. It was just the fact that I was looking forward to it and spent ages cleaning it so I could use it for the first time... and then it was freezing
It's been a long time coming... we've lived here for 7 years and have used an old disgusting shower in there for all that time, I was so pleased when we finally had enough to get it done. Saving to do the bedroom next - it's in desperate need of a new carpet and the wardrobes are all broken - again, not touched it since we moved in here.
I hope you can save quicker than you think for your new bathroom xxx
Sometimes I wish I liked wine. Can't stand the stuff though. Yuk.Life is all about the journey.0 -
I completely understand hun ....It is not right to have to put up with a cold shower!!! I would be fuming with whoever fitted it and I can see you are a lot calmer than me.
It's fun doing up a house, isn't it. I love the idea x
Hope you get this sorted soon..
Red wine, whisky or rumany would do for me ..

Hey well done on winning the bowling Splodz! I'm rubish at bowling. Shame about the shower. We got one of those thermostat showers and if we turn it on full on hot water, it goes cold so we have to put it halfway! I hate cold, I like hot water!
Hope you manage to win a bathroom suite soon NNWBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
