Evening all,
Did they ask us? anyone seen the story in the sun about a quarter of stay at home mums spend longer online than giving their kids quality time a poll revealed yesterday. almost 80% spend their time surfing the net rather than cooking and cleaning. They ask whether we are becoming addicted to it. Sorry can't find it online.
Hope everyone has had a good day, No post again today:(Silver Surfer, Always Smiling

Good Luck all!
Enter EVERYTHING ...absolutely EVERYTHING you can, dailies, weeklies, monthlies...the board posts. Scan the sites for other comps when you go there too.
Keep doing that, remember that prizes can take a while and so can winner emails etc. ( I got one today for a book I received last week out of the blue from a comp that was an advent last December early on).
Little prizes are cool, practice for that day when it's you turn to be lucky, so visit the "I won" section and thank the poster if you can...and you'll see all the other people EVERY DAY who are just like you with exactly the same chance of winning posting wins small and large which will encourage you when you feel like you're forgotten.
One day it will be your turn to win and you'll enjoy all the :T:T you'll get there, we enjoy other people winning as much as ourselves most of the time I think.
Quitters really don't ever win.
I would set up a comps only email addy, and read the mails carefully because winners aren't always so obvious, same goes for snail mail letters...you could be recyling that large cheque thinking it's spam :rotfl:
I started comping seriously here about mid November, and I'm kicking myself for not doing so much earlier. My postman is no longer my mate though...
Good luck.
You'll have some trust me.

Morning, A lil grumble..............
Even Paul was shocked as i got quite upset, but it has snowed at least a few inches here, i had to get Paul to Three bridges for the train, and again play russian roulette on the roads, more snow has fallen on what was ice, so paths and unretaed roads are slippy, i drove slowly,
But just got a bit freaked on way back as we have sleet now so couldn't see far, and the roads leading up to the motorway were hazardous, some of these roads lead up to the m23, but still aren't getting done, yes i know there isn't much grit, but that doesn't wash with clients who need you there and it's a ice rink between here and train station.
ok........ Grumble 2, Evans school, the nice strict school with the blue blazers (for kohsamui) has only gritted a minor part of the actual grounds, so evan like half the kids has to walk down 30 steps to go under a subway and up 30 steps (cuts under major road to m23) which hasnt had steps gritted, school won't do it as it is outside the actual school? by 20 metres?
So it means i have to drive him to the main entrance of the school as he can't get safely to school, which is pretty much the same route as the ruddy train station i've just been too........... if kids slip and hurt themselves on subway steps tough.........
I know alot of u are grieving at the moment or suffering, so sorry if my grumble seems trivial xx
And topsy isn't getting walked........xxxx
that feels better!#JusticeForGrenfell0
