 Sorry coming in for a moan!
2 very bad nights sleep - can't settle - pains in legs and wound from hysterectomy so cue one very grumpy tired Mummy on the 1st day at school.
Was dead organised - uniform washed and ironed ready for this morning. Got up - got washed and dressed - came downstairs - fed kids - fed dog - tidied up - washed and dressed kids - then realised - NO CENTRAL HEATING. Must have been the adrenaline keeping me warm!
Cue ringing friend who is plumber to find out he is in London. Cue ringing my dearest Daddy to take DD2 to school because trying to locate friendly plumber in London!!!!! (snotty wife was really unhelpful - LONG STORY!)
My Dearest Daddy arrives and promptly makes DD2 vomit over my kitchen floor. She was complaining that her button was too tight on her shirt so I had undone it. Fussy Dearest Daddy tried to make her do it up "to look smarter" and think she gagged when he pressed her throat!
Cue my Dearest Daddy and DD2 going to school with DD2 sobbing and me having to step over a puddle of sick whilst on phone to friendly plumber. Fortunately, he had a mate on a day off who he got out of bed and he agreed to come and "sort me out". Whilst on mobile to friendly plumber, landline rang SEVEN times and I was ready for a row with whoever was trying to get hold of me. Transpired to be my Dearest Daddy ringing from school because I had forgotten to give DD2 any dinner!!!!!!!!!!!
Cue 4 inches of snow in approx 30 minutes! Cue having to walk to school to fetch DD2 who had been there at least 1 hour! Cue having texts from DD1 complaining cuz her school was still open - WHAT - I don't want all three of you here again!
Finally got heating sorted and yes, did get sick up off the floor and by the time DH decided to show his face, was well and truly frozen because adrenaline had stopped flowing!!!!!
Now have major headache and sore throat and probably got all 3 kids at home tomorrow and DH!
Whinge over - not seen our postie at all today. My new IPhone should have been delivered by courier today - NOT! My new camping chairs should have come by delivery van today - NOT!
Its very pretty outside but playing havoc with my life:mad:;):p

WOW diddlepops, don't know what to say. what a day you had.
had some good news re: friend who was in car crash, her dad says that she is able to understand everything said to her. is able to sing and recall nursery rhymes and count, days , months etc, and hold slow converstations, and string sentences together, but gets very flustrated when can find the words. so sounds like she is doing well. thankfully.
hope everyone is ok. haven't really read back. will catch up tomorrow.
xTHANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.0 -

Before I start - forgive me for laughing at your incredibly stressfull day. xxxx But, oh how you made me laugh! probably because it kind of mirrors a day in the life of my house!!!
I'm so glad your heating has been sorted out, via 'friendly plumber' but as far as anything else goes - re families and children - you and I and lots of others know, that, it never ends!!!! agggghhhhhh!! lol
Hoping delivery man makes its way through the snow and brings your expected goodies, but also, hopefully, lots of extra, unexpected goodies too :-)
Also, I really hope your pain starts to improve very soon. Tis a long trek, and even more so when 'normal' life has to continue. Sending you very fast healing vibes. xxxEXTRA GOOD LUCK EVERYONE FOR 2015. XXX
