DH just got home from the hospital, his Grandma is slowing leaving us it's awful that it's dragging now. I feel useless here with the kids but they don't want to go & DH told me his Grandma is slowly going blue which is not nice for the kids to see anyway. The docs have said it shouldn't be much longer now but they can only guess really. I'm holding up - just - but I have to really because DH, the kids & MIL need me to stay strong.

Seem's wrong with so many "people" so ill at the moment, but, one of my rats Boo Boo has got a huge lump (most likely cancer) and it's getting bigger, so not sure how long she has left, when she becomes obviously in pain or can't do certain things we will take her to the vets to do the kindest thing, it's so upsetting as we have already lost 2 rats this way, sorry if this seem's insignificant compared to real people but my OH and rats are my world and I hate to think of any of them suffering, won't be a good start to the new year

pms, you are being brilliant, just try to keep strong for your family.....it is awfully sad and I know how you feel cos we had to watch the same thing happen to my Mum.....and it seemed to go on for so long.

I so hope you all find the strength you need to cope :A

Thanks Toniq, it's just a waiting game now until it gets so big she can't do the usual rat things, or becomes not herself, which at the moment she seems quite happy, but the lump is very noticable, so it could be days, weeks, months etc...

go and put the stuff that needs to go to the dump next to him as a hint for him to take it, then place a load of takeaway leaflets in front of him and ask him to choose:D then run the vacuum round, comp and relax:D
