Hi everyone. I have a few presents to wrap, going away tomorrow for christmas so having the next 5 days break from entering competitions.
Tired and busy packing whilst waiting for my new sofa to arrive.

Hiya All :santa2:

I have decided to take a break from comping until the New Year, as there are far too many distractions with family and friends coming down over the Christmas period

I have also decided to take stock after the New Year on whether or not I should carry on doing competitions as I fear that it has taken over my life!

decided to do the above after having a terrible comping day yesterday and becoming very stressed out , first of all the pages on MSE wouldn't display properly (the text went very small and I could hardly see it without my glasses on) then later on it the day my comp database with all of my thousands of bookmarked comps crashed and died and failed to make a backup

me thinks that the master is trying to tell me something

over the Christmas period I have been doing comps for 10-12 hours every day and some nights I have only had 3-4 hours sleep :eek:

my family and friends think that I am very lucky but they don't know how much time and effort is put into winning competitions

When comping becomes a bore
and is no longer fun
takes over your life and becomes a chore
it's time to chill
sit back and relax
and maybe seek a new thrill
get a life, maybe even
get a new wife (only joking hun, it's called poetic licence)

P:S I have just had a telephone call from one of my neighbours to say that my next door neighbour Pat died in hospital last night she has been very ill in hospital for sometime now after suffering a major stroke some time ago, she also had recurrent strokes while she was in hospital, I hardly knew her but she was a loverly person and a devout christian who would go out of her way to help anyone in need and will be sadly missed :(
