:hello: Everyone,
Hope all is well,I am fine today,PMS Sorry I cant advise re your 10 year old daughter re her Gran but she could make a memory box and keep her memories of her Gran in there of what they shared together and maybe some photos so when Gran does pass away she will be left with the memory box all her life and remember her fondly.Sorry if this has upset you but it could help her comes to terms with what will happen when it arrives.
Have a lovely day everyone,Got my boyfriend over at mums today with me for lunch as this afternoon we are out at a carol service together and then all being well I will have another carol service tonight at my local church too.
Emma(Ratgirl),Hope you are feeling better today

Morning all.
More snow overnight here but not much. Hope the roads clear a bit so we can go out tonight.
I got 7 hours solid sleep last night woohoo - the most in weeks, probably months! And then 2 more hours snoozing. Feel quite refreshed this morning so must make the most of it and get this house cleaned so it looks great for the week.
Hugs PMS it must be so hard for you at the moment. I think your dd will be ok, I think children seem to handle these things a lot better than we think they might because of the way they look at things without complicating them. Hugs and prayers for you and your family xxxxLife is all about the journey.0 -

Hi, thank you all for your kind word's, thoughts and prayers, they mean so much to me, it has been 2 years since we lost ( Cadell ) he was sort of still born, we knew he would have lots of problems and he was born at 24 weeks pregnant, and in some ways it was good that his heart carried on beating for 90 mins, even though he never took a breath, because it meant we got a birth certificate aswell as a death certificate, we have been trying ever since, and still not pregnant, it just seems to get harder and harder, hoping next year will be a better year, thanks again all xxxxx0

Happy Birthday GraceOwen. X
PMS thoughts go out to you. Your DD will come to terms with it all much sooner than the adults do as kids are more resiliant than you think they are. The way we explained to my grandkids was that Grandmas was going to stay with Jesus because she was so nice and he needed company but that she would always look to see what they were doing.
The ground here is like glass due to the freeze but we didn't have anymore snow.
Have a lucky day todayIf at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.

MIL is going to talk to the docs tomorrow to see if her Mum can come to her house rather than die in the hospital, it will be hard for everyone but her Mum didn't want to go in the hospital in the first place because she was scared of dying in there so will be better for her if it doesn't happen there ITMS. Because she's been ill most of 2009 it really feels to have dragged on, she's in a very bad state now & has no quality of life left that she'll be at peace when it's all over rather than all the pain she's in now. I just hope she goes peacefully, my eldest DD is still upset but we feel at 10 year old she's old enough to know what is happening but how do we prepare her fully? It's such a struggle for all of us let alone 10 year old, she loves her Gran (Great-Grandma) so much & was always close to herIf anyone has any words of wisdom please feel free to share them xxxx
Unfortunately, my son has been through this a few times, with my dad last year, Pauls dad passing this year and with the twins, it rips u apart seeing their pain but u have to be strong for them as well as yourself.
With Evan with the twins because of my buddhist believes Evan understood, better than me actually, it wasn't their time on this planet and god had needed them elsewhere, we refer to them as our angel babies xx
With my dad that was exceptionally hard but Ev took it well, and again as we have faith were able to explain, that it was just goodbye to this world and hello to the next, we explained it simply as a journey we all take and pappa was out of pain and ready to move on to the next life.
With pauls dads passing this spring, Ev himslef was able to tell us that he had just gone to the next life.
We all have our own beliefs and children are more resilient than we realise.
I do strongly believe in an afterlife, so have that to draw on to get me through my days, though nothing could ever have prepared me for Evs' grief over the angels xxx
Hope everyone ok and coping with the emotion attached to this time of year xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
morning all
in a mixed mood since the last update
friends and OH keeping me happy
but there's only about a 5% chance they're going to let my dad out for Christmas. Really don't feel good about that, makes me want it to never come nowand I'm a Christmas fan. So yeah, not looking forward to it one bit
Mum says we can take some pressies down to him there as he's well enough to be awake.. but I worry that it'll upset us even more. he still isn't walking so we think thats why they wont let him out.. So yeah.. not great
at least the treatments working, got to look at the positives I guess..
