Hi
just wanted to say well done on having courage to get off ladder and sell flat to pay off debts not trade up to unaffordable home at the time.
Also now having courage to move back home must be hard but helps you save.
Congrats on marriage and doing so well with savings.
we would love to buy a house but need to clear out debts first then need to save deposit.
Like you houses round here size we need £200,000 and read banks want 20% which is £40,000 and we have £35,000 debts to clear first.
I expect banks will ease up o deposits over next few years ad economy recovers.
We so glad we dident accept morgage with northern rock.we know freinds who brought at wrong time and struggling now, thy have used their property to prop up their spending by remorging ad regretting it now.
do you have a timeline of when you want to buy? we hoping 2012/13 be our year.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:
Pay off as much as I can 2011 £15008.02/£15,000:j
new grocery challenge £200/£250 feb
KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON:D,Onwards and upward2013:)0 -

Thanks for your comments
We initially want to move back out by next summer (August)
Hoping to have the 20k by then plus the stamp duty / fees
Also once the offer is in on a place we will still have at least another month of saving while it all goes through which is good

£250 saved as planned this week plus £3.80 interest earned in one of the accounts
Bring on Dec 30th for another lump sum deposit.
As you can see below we are nearly a quarter of the way there and we have not long been saving:D0 -
