hi everyone, i'm asking this on behalf of a friend who only got his blue badge a month ago.

Anyways, him and his brother parked up where it said "permit holders only" - there was no pay and display or sign saying "blue badge holders, 3 hour stay " etc etc. the only other alternative is they have vouchers you can buy in shops and display in the car. anyways, they were only going to be 20 mins so they decided to go without even displaying their blue badge!!!

surprise surprise, when they return a quick slimy traffic warden had slapped on a ticket. yes i know it was very silly of them but is there any comeback ?

they have a bluebadge to show but obviously the pic taken by the warden will show the car without it on display.

any help much appreciated, plus any info on this matter. like i said his only had it for a montth and does not know the rules. because there was no info on disbaled blue badge holders, it just said "permit holders only"

cheers

  • Get your "friend" to read the terms and conditions of use for his blue badge. Then post back anything you feel may be a defence to the ticket.

  • As its a new blue badge, ask the council for leniency, they have been known to give a small slap on the wrist and cancel the ticket just this once.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
