    1. Perhaps they are in tandem with chasing him or perhaps they are equally evasive.

    2. Have you read the info on the Shelter website that explains the repossession process?

Do you know the bank isn't chasing any other person named on the mortgage and/ or the guarantors? It's usual for owners to be jointly and severally liable for the entire mortgage - so each owe all of it, not half each.

That's a 'how long is a piece of string' question - how much notice you get is going to depend on the bank, they may want to offload the house quickly and it will be easier to sell with vacant possession.

Rather than keep stressing about what might or might not be, you need to find out if the landlord has consent to lease or not, and lean on the letting agents to ensure that bailiffs do not hassle you. Have you made any moves on this yet?

I don't really know to to approach it with them.

Like i say i'm not really in a position to move and im worried i'll be given notice if they think i'm being arkward.

Plus i'm worried that once they bring the issue up with the landlord he might think that its easier to just have people in that don't know anything about it, I could be easily replaced, or if he thinks we know he's stopped paying then he wont have anything to loose because he'll think i'm going anyway.

Realistically its unlikely i'd be able to get a months rent, the deposit and possibley agents fees for somewhere else in the 2months notice i'd get and whilst i know what your saying is valuable (i obviously wasnt even aware about the permission needed for example) i'm worried i'll dig myself a bigger hole. I know your going to say better two months notice then none.

The bank have called again several times today, still wasnt interested that we were tennants and again offered letting agents number to contact landlord but they wasn't bothered.

I did wonder with the guartentor, seems pointless having one since they;ve not paid either, i suppose thats irrelevant either way.

I mean what do i say, I know the landlord has stopped paying the mortgage and a bailiff has contacted me. Won't they have ago about not forwarding the post to them?
