I have a problem!
My bulb failure light is on....none of the brake lights are working yet all the bulbs look fine! Went to check fuses and there is no fuse for brake lights!!!! Where is it?! No mention in handbook about brake light failure.

Try fuse 20.
However, brakelight switch is a common failure on Sharans, and this would also give you the same symptoms.
If you want to have a look at the switch, make sure you tinker with the right one, as there's two switches on the brake pedal - it's the black coloured one that's a little harder to see.;)
The other one (usually blue coloured) is for the engine ECU.
