Removing defaults from my credit file?

If I make an payment agreement with my bank to satisfy a defaulted amount a year after the default is recorded, is it possible to have the default removed from my credit file (not just marked satisfied)? I am aware that it's possible to remove it if it's satisfied within 1 month, but is it possible to have it removed after a year?

You could see if they would agree to remove it in return for settling the account, but they are not obliged to.
With the "within one month" issue, I suspect you are thinking of CCJs rather than just a defaulted account.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
