Morning, am quite happy this morning as the refund has gone onto my CC meaning it is almost completely clear! Last month's interest is due next week so will wait for that then pay off the lot :D This has always been the debt that has bothered me the most, mainly because of HSBC increasing the interest from an original 14ish% (pre-MSE :o) to an astrnomical 29.9%!

Got 2 weeks til payday and am so impatient to start paying the o/d off, did 4 MS last week and a few more booked including one today so will be good next month when all that has come through.

On a less MSE note, I have accepted a new job which is less well paid than my current one... long story but I'm very unhappy in my current job and the difference in pay doesn't justify this for me. I would be happier in my new job and getting a second job if needs be, so that is an option if the debt repayment slows down too much for my liking! Not a decision to be taken lightly and has caused a few sleepless nights but am hoping I have come to the right conclusion.

Anyway, MS is calling. Hope everyone is feeling well and keeping warm xx

    1. Find the thing you want to link to. Copy the web address
    2. Type the text you want to be clickable. I shall be using "Check oot my cartoon shrimp" :D
    3. Click and drag your mouse over the text you want to be clickable, so it's highlighted
    4. Click the icon underneath the smiley faces (in the box you're posting in) that looks like a globe with a paperclip over it.
    5. Paste the link into the pop-up box that appears.

    Check oot my cartoon shrimp

    Done!

Thanks F_F! I have only just displayed everyone's avatars, and I always thought I was fairly computer-savvy :o

In a bit of a pickle tonight as handed in my notice but work offered me a different position which would resolve the majority of issues I have there and actually sounds pretty perfect but... just feeling major unease because I've had such a rubbish past couple of months there and wonder whether a clean break is the way forward...but I do feel really sad about leaving...and I have to give them my decision by 9am tomorrow...eeek. And to top it all OH gave me a huge list of reasons why he thought it was a bad idea, topped off with "if you take it, I'll be really disappointed in you" then disappeared to the pub. Extremely constructive.

Think I'm just in a huff cos I don't have any spare cash to make a payment and cheer myself up today!

I don't know how to display avatars feel free to let me know how!

Sorry your OH isn't being supportive. I think if you are unhappy in your job sometimes you have to leave... that is an option I am considering for me right now!

If you click the 'User CP' link in blue, just under where your username is displayed, then from the list on the left hand side click 'edit options', then in the third box down there is a tick box which says 'show avatars' (or display avatars maybe?' Tick that and Bob should be your Uncle! Not that many people have them though x

Have worked with the company and my managers for nearly 10 years so although I complain about them a lot I still have a funny sort of attachment to them. Like the ugly ornament in the back of the cupboard you can't quite bring yourself to part with! Maybe I should apply MSE decluttering principles to the situation, but I doubt they would fetch much on ebay... x

Morning all, well have taken the job so will be starting that in a months time - yippee!! No more working weekends :j Although the first thought I had was that I could now get a second job...will put that idea on the back burner for now as I should be able to keep the debt busting on track, and this will be the first time in nearly 10 years that I have my weekends to myself. Will just have to focus on the £10 a day challenge more to ease my guilt (and maybe stop chickening out by only aiming for £5 :o)

Got a ms today, only £5 and a bit of a walk away but am thinking of it as being paid to exercise. Really should have a blast on turbolister too but won't make any rash promises! Have Thursday off too so may dedicate that to the pleasures of ebay. Such procrastination is what got me here in the first place :o

9 days til payday, need something to clear into my account so I can make my first 1 debt vs 100 days payment, have been left on the starting blocks!

Onwards and upwards, hope everyone has a good day!
    x

p.s.Will have to try to think of something to link too now to utilise my new skills, thanks f_f!

Ugh, horrible weather today! Got to work late tonight to conduct interviews so have decided to go in a little later too. Am very much regretting pledging to give up the bus to work on the 100 day challenge as it is literally bucketing down! But I got a new umbrella for Christmas so the thought of using it (its VERY cute) is helping me to look on the bright side.

Aside from all that waffling, there is not much on the debt busting horizon today. *MUST list some more bits on ebay tomorrow*

Hope everyone has a good day and doesn't get too soggy!
