Bath restoration

Advice needed. I have the classic 1961 blue bathroom suite, rather tired and in need of replacement. My builder who is pretty old actually installed it for the previous owner. The bath though is a solid cast iron bath and though worn is lovely and big and holds the heat well. I originally planned to replace bath, wash basin and toilet but looking at the bath, I wondered if there is any way of restoring the bath? It will get quite light use as have an ensuite shower room elsewhere in the house. And does it have to stay blue or can it be transformed into a tasteful white.

There are companies that renamel cast iron baths. It may be worth looking them up on the web. I'm sure your problem isn''t unique.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
