the first seems to have hdmi and although it says dual core, im 99% certain its single core... as far as im aware any ways

the second has better specs all round nearly, dual core processor, more ram, bigger hdd etc no hdmi is a bummer so is vista but you have the windows 7 upgrade offer

i know both of these are more than you specified but they are most certainly worth it

  • sorry dont get many tower requests :D

usually for laptops so it was my first thought.

do you need a monitor or not?

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-7141.aspx

thats the best without a monitor (the £79.99 acer is better presuming it allows a windows 7 update but this compaq is quite good for the money and fits the budget)

as for the bundles, im going to stick my neck out and say this

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-5251.aspx

    but this closely follows

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-8767.aspx

the second having a quad core processor rather than dual core but the first does have a higher clock, dedicated graphics memory and double the HDD space and an extra gig of ram.

so yeh the first is better as the quad core offers very little performance bump for normal computing tasks whereas the benefits in the first pc will be far better at normal pc usage levels.

its worth a mention that there is a printer bundle in there

    and id avoid it

its ok but you be better off sourcing another printer that wont cost the earth to buy cartridges for. if you need a printer that is.

  • Spend the vouchers on food & use the money saved to buy a PC elsewhere...
