Changes to pension payments!

I applied for my State Pension recently and opted for weekly payments. My birthday is 27th January. I was told my first payment would be 1st February.
I assumed this was how it has always been. Is it not?(AKA HRH_MUngo)

you are getting the options under the current rules which is payment in advance the changes are happening from April0 -
