Hi,
Has anyone recently or the past few years for a fence put up. I am just wondering the approx cost for say a 20-25 foot fence vertical one as the link below just 1 end of a garden on parts and labour. Reading another posting expect to pay max £600 but shopping around may get it for £450 for a whole garden fence? I guess this would be the cheapie horizontal ones which break easily with strong winds.
Thx.

25ft of fence will require about 5 1.8m panels, depending on which panels you want they can range from £14-70 a panel.
You will need 6 posts and again depending on type can be from about £7-20 a post.
Brackets about £0.50-£5.00 each depending on which panels and posts you get and which brackets you choose.
Then cement or postcrete will cost £4-5 per bag.
The fence could be erected within a few hours no problem, I would imagine labour would be in the region of £100, which seems reasonable to me. Anything over that you should do it yourself and save yourself the money.
My garden is 20 Meters by 40 Meters and I forked out £1500 to fence it all, and I did it all myself, easy it was, just patience is all thats needed and good weather
If you bought the same items I bought from Wickes, you could do your 25ft fence at a cost of £220 for the materials.0 -
I've just had a 28 foot fence put up for £345.
That included removal and disposal of the old fence, all the new timber and concrete and errection of the new fence. It's similar to the one in your picture, except the boards are slightly overlapped for privacy. He the job in a day and I'm really pleased with it.
He lives at Houghton-le-Spring in the North East. If you happen to live nearby, PM me and I'll send you his phone number. It's just a one man sole trader that a relative recommended as he did a good job on their fence. Here I go again on my own....0 -
