Hello everyone,
I was hoping that some wonderful MSE'ers would be able to help me as I have no idea what I am doing!!!!
I have a car that I need to get rid of, it's an Escort and it's got loads wrong woth it. It now has no tax (So is on the drive!!) but I want to get rid of it.
What is the best thing to do?
Thank you in advance for your help :rotfl:

Ring your local Fire Brigade up, they might be grateful of it for fire training excersies.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Try your local college too, if they have car maintenance classes they might be looking for vehicles to practise on.0

There are scrapping companies you can call who will collect your car, look in your local paper. They might even pay a small amount for it, £50 or so. They were recently but it depends on the current price of scrap metal .
Make sure, if you do scrap it, that you send your part of the Registration Document off to say it has been scrapped. Record the details of the scrappage company somewhere too just in case you need it in the future. These are just measures to cover yourself.0 -
The most important bit is that you have to SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) the vehicle if it is sat on the drive. If you 'give it away' you will need to transfer the ownership.Snootchie Bootchies!0
