Putting spouse on title deeds?

Afternoon all,
I have run a search as I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, but I can't find anything about it - so just very quickly, my wife and I bought our house before we were married and for financial reasons it was all done in my name, so the mortgage is in my name and the deeds to the house are in my name.
How do I go about getting her name on the title deeds, and how much is it likely to cost? Whilst I have specified in my will that the house goes to her (along with responsibility for paying the mortgage etc - all financial encumbrances or whatever the terminology was!), I just wanted to know if it would make things easier for her to take posession of our house should I cark it if she is named as joint owner on the title deeds.
Thanks in advance chaps!

You would have to get the lender's agreement and she will have to agree to the mortgage terms as well. Lender will charge and admin fee of round about £100-£200 and there will be legal costs of around £400 because the lender will insist a solicitor is involved to protect its interests.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0
