getting rid of dock leaves

Hi guys,

my lawn is completely littered with dock leaves and after trying several weed killers on it, most of them are still alive and spreading like mad!
does anyone have any ideas of what i can do, other then keep spending money on weed killer in the hope it works? I saw some time ago on here that someone mentioned using salt as a weedkiller, anyone tried this? any ther help would be great

The best (long term) way to get rid of weeds in grass is to make the conditions more favourable to grass than weeds. Aerate it, fill the holes with some sand, feed the grass, rake it regularly etc and the grass will soon take its revenge on the weeds.

Salt is not a good idea as it will tend to kill everthing. Heath Robinson's advice is good along with mowing regularly and close to encourage grass and discourage everthing else.

Try rubbing with nettle leaves? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry not very helpful!
