Comments

The Home top up is now available for Gas meters with debt on them also. So anyone with a prepayment gas or electric meter with British gas can now make use of topping up via the internet.
They are also free as long as you top up using them within 30 days.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0 -

I Think you will find that b/g has always charged £10 for each of there card/key readers if you do not top up a minimum of £10 on each within 30 days or return them if you do not!0 -
The reason for the £10 charge is to make sure no one orders them to keep in a cupboard and not use. Therefore if people who know they will use them order and use within 30 days then they do not pay. Why is that a problem? There is a free phone line to help people set it up if needed and if they decide its not for them and return within the time scale again there is no charge.
I have spoken to many happy customers who either are disabled or have young families who think its great not to have to go out to the shops in bad weather.
psThey did not always charge this but found as above hundreds of people claimed them as they were free and never used them. This is a waste of resources. Now only people who will use them will request the Home top ups.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0 -
I have the home top up too recieved them last week, and loved not having to drag kids out today to top up.
I was surprised it was so simple.
Great idea
