Wireless dorrbell - B&Q

just got my self a brand new wireless doorbell from B&Q, but it doesn't work all the time, when i give the unit a knock, then it starts to work..

nothing wrong with the batteries,

can i give it back got the receipt but don't have the packaging...

Yes you can take it back and ask for money back and or replacement or different model and pay the difference if it costs more. You need proof or purchase though with you

I also have this door bell, it rings non stop! Put it up and thought I had kids playing games at the door. Drove me mad for 2 days.

Don't have the receipt :-(

Dont think its a matter of that - if you have had it 10 years and its not working, well fair enough but under a year I would take it back. I took mine back to Asda - it had to be unscrewed from the wall outside - I didnt have the packaging either but I did have the receipt - they exchanged it no problem at all.
