I guess we all go into these things thinking, at first, nobody ever wins - until we have a big win ourselves!

What a shame you've won a good one and can't use it. I dread winning something that I can't use. So far, it's only really been cinema and (Michelin) restaurant trip I couldn't make but even that was enough to feel lousy. It's worse winning and not being able to use something than not winning at all!

I know how tough it can be having to ignore a great competition as my OH's a teacher and we can only go away in school holidays. So many comps say in their T&Cs that holidays, etc can't be taken in school hols. Such a pain, and I hate ignoring the wonderful holiday comps, but it's just the way it is

thanks people, I know it would be such a great time to get away and have a break its a shame there was no coach and meals/drinks paid we could really do with a holiday at them moment oh well at least its inspired me to keep entering competitions and your right i entered and i just didnt think i would win.
I tried my hardest to find friends or family who might want to go but no one got back to me so i emailed her before and she was really nice she said next time marco v the dj is in my area she will try and arrange v.i.p tickets which i thought was nice as most competitions wouldnt do that. I just hope i made someone elses day today!!

Alot of the competitions ive entered havent expired yet so maybe a while before i get any news.
