Does anyone have the number for a TALK TALK UK number please.
Parents have had no phone for over a week and their number has been given to someone else!!!!
I have, along with them spoken to Talk talk in India and am so frustrated
Any suggestions we would be truly greatfull.
An outline
Been trying to call parents for over a week - no answer
Rang yesterday(monday 16th)only to get a strange voice saying hello...this is my number!!
Now - the strange voice rang BT who promptly gave the voice a new phone(strange voice rang me to say theyve changed my number for me)
6 hrs plus - talking to people who promise to divert the calls to a mobile!!!(how much will that cost)
who say that theres really nothing they can do
who cant give any explanation as to why their phone number is disconnected and to top it all their home number "floating" around for someone to have!!!
To date: - oh yes Talk talk can ring the non existent house number and get through to mobile - but NOONE else can!!!!
This is surely breach of contract?
Anyone have any suggestions please?

Try putting a link to your original thread,I for one am not going to trawl thru pages & post's to find it!

No need to start another thread jump the old one !!!0

Okey Dokey, not familiar with your terminology, a bone thread? is that something with which to get your teeth into?:rotfl:0

OP, what is being said is that if you want to try and get a response to your original post, just add to that same thread-don't start another entirely separate post. If you had more than your 2 or 3 posts, finding the original would be too time consuming for most people to bother. No free lunch, and no free laptop

As my wife keeps reminding me, you get what you pay for. I have read of Talk Talk giving someone's number to someone else before on these forums - so it's clearly not the first time.
Have your parents dialled 17070 to try to see what their 'new' number is? That works on BT lines, not sure about Talk Talk lines.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
