Repayment Management Services??????

I had a lengthy telephone call from this company last night but I have never heard of them before can any one give me some advice on them are they legit.
I have been told I can pay £100 per month £20 of which goes to the company to manage my debts the rest goes towards the of the balance (not the intrest) of my debts. I am just a bit suspicious because when it sounds so easy there is often a hidden catch.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanx

    *sigh*

WHY do you want to pay a company 20% of the money you have to put towards your payments when one of the charities in my signature will do it for free?

If you want to pay a cowboy outfit who have no qualifications etc to deal with your finances for you then by all means... :) But remember that they don't get penalised if they mess up for you - YOU do...

  • to day i have recived a letter in the post whitch was sent to my home address from rms.
this letter had my d.o.b and my postcode and last name right.
but frist name wrong. they allso had my sons home telephone no but not mine.the debt whitch they said i owed to crediters was in my name. but i have not spoken to them before until this letter arrived on my doorstep. the message i wish to convay is if you get a letter from this conpany make sure they have got the right person.
as in my case i do not owe any money to them or any one else as i am an o.a.p and own my own home.
bewarned .this company are con men as they cannot get details right and when you contact them to tell them they have the wrong person they do not want to know be warned.tim.
  • I know this is a very old post, but i have just come across it searching this company over the internet. Well the story is, my parents were sucked into this company and paid £250 roughly a month for 2 years, which are nearly coming to an end. with a fixed fee of £25 a month. The statements they provided us that show how much has been paid to what creditors do not match the statements and figures provided by the back. They have given SOME money to the creditors but not all that they have supposed to have. They think it's okay to slyly pick out a few pounds here and there for their own pockets and think it would go unnoticed. Not only that, I find that they are very very rude over the phone. Although we speak their language and can communicate with them more clearly than maybe other members of the general public, i feel that they are just fraudulent Indians which have set up the company to grab their hands on money which they have no right in taking. My advice would be stick to the companies which you know about, the ones with T.v ads etc, not a bunch of Indians who telephone you. I would like to hear anyone else's cases regarding this company.
    Cheers, Janki
