  • Apart from locking them in on a night I can't help.

Although maybe one of those dog/cat deterrant high pitched thingies may work?

    Male urine round the garden.

Ultimately only strong fencing or houses work 100%

  • Have you tried googling it? Something on ebid/ebay that may work for you

I know ferret pee and poo will deter bunnies, and it might be worth a try for foxes. If you are anywhere near Watford (Hertfordshire), you are welcome to collect as many carrier bags of ferret litter-box scoopings as you like!

I have also heard of places that sell lion faeces to deter cats - again it might be worth a try. Perhaps your closest zoo would help you out with some carnivore poo?

Male urine, also any old bits of really really smelly old clothing {male again} as the scent tends to linger longer on the fabric than soil, Move them frequently adding an old sock of his to each pile every now and then. If your really desperate then urine soaked into the timbers at ground level and topped up regularly.

Together we can make a difference.
  • Maybe a bit much, but apparently alpacas keep the foxes away!

  • thankyou for all advice given. Would the urine need to be sprinkled all around the garden or just near the chicken coop?

Not sure, but I put mine round the boundaries of the garden. It certainly wouldn't hurt being near the coop.

That will teach you to wear your fox outfit while alpaca viewing.
