my grandad introduced me to connie onnies when i was little..(thats what he called them condensed milk and sugar butties)
now if only i could find butter pies again...no one down here believes me they exist..but they do on a sat night out in preston at the end of the night,i had butter pies,chips and gravy...drooollllll

I wish you were my delivery man Rog2. Embarrassed to say I get it delivered but no car for me when DH has it at work so £3.50 etc has to be spent on being a lazy g*t. I'm always lovely though

its crispy shortcrust pastry, filling is thinly sliced potatoes, butter and i guess salt and pepper -food of the gods..but only really found in lancashire.
