I know the person involved in what i'm about to say will read this as 'he' 'she' I don't know is one of us and not a troll.

When one poster is subjected to underhand comments or inciteful comments on a regular basis then that poster feels so fed up with it he just walks. He walks and leaves this board. When a poster is being quoted but only by paraphrasing to make the poster looks silly, that too is uncalled for. Now we are all on this board to help and be helped. We all give up our time to put something back into the board when we relied heavily on the support when the times is tough. Us posters have to relise that there are people on here that know much much more than some, they're entitled to post their knowledge without being made to feel bad for contradicting. In my opinion there's bullying going on in this board and it must stop. The poster knows what 'he' 'she' is doing. The poster is deliberately posting to incite.

This board and the desperate people who come for help will not have access to a diamond of a poster, a knowledgable poster, a poster that sees vulnerable newbies come along, takes them under his wing and contacts them daily to make sure they're ok.. we have lost that now, the new people will lose out badly because the poster has been driven away, and not for the first time.

Inciteful comments amongst ourselves is pathetic. No one should have to put up with that.

I must have missed all this going's on....... All i can say is i hope we don't loose any of our "experts" that have proved to be a lifeline for most!

You should all be so proud of the help you give and even just being there to chat to is great.

People seem to forget that you take time out of your lives to help others. And the help is based on experience, knowledge and for some it's their career also.

I for one am grateful to many of you on here!!! I'd like to think that many would agree that to loose anyone would be a terrible thing :o

  • I'm feeling really chuffed with myself and just thought i would share

I just managed to put up a loo roll holder and a big bathroom mirror by myself!

Involved measuring, marking and drilling tiles, rawl plugs (sp??) and screws

And the bit im most happy with is that the spirit level tells me its completly straight as well!!!!! :D

I feel so happy with myself for not being completly useless

Hey good on you, especially with the tiles :T I wouldn't even try drilling tiles. Bet it looks lovely :) And I do believe you spelt rawl plugs correct, I wouldn't believe me though.

    Thanks Michelle!

To look at me now you'd think i'd won the lottery (i wish)

I managed to drill and fit all four brackets for the mirror.....my down fall was when i lifted the mirror i managed to hit my shower screen and smash the corner off.....

Now i don't consider this a DIY fail , just a clumsy hick up. Luckily the mirror was not an expensive one and i can use it untill i can get another

I'm very sorry about my post in here earlier, it was rather cryptic and not really a place for the Inn anyway, I just wasn't brave enough to post it in a thread on the main board. Our Phil has had enough, is tired with people having a go at him and critising his advice, making him look foolish. Just thought I should clear up my rather bizarre post from before.

He said he's tired with it all mustbe :( I kind of agree with him, he's forever being questioned or being quoted wrongly or out of context.
