That's briiliant news! When something comes out of the blue like that it really does get your spirits up for the day doesn't it. Cool they tried to find you too :)

Yeah for the pudding! We always refuse pudding now if we have a lunch out but inside i'm yearning for sticky toffee pudding!

Speaking of puddings, for lunch we're having homemade rice pudding with homemade jam.. I can't believe I can make my own jam! Perfect for a cold bankrupts house eh?!

Off soon to do some 'circle art' with tissue paper with the girls then I think we'll all make some cheese scones together. Actually feel guilty, the snow has stopped now so should really take Amy to school, never mind.

I reckon when you pass your driving test you have had to have some experience in a skid pan, I'm not confident in driving in it because I just don't know how to drive in it. DH comes in full of hell every night at the minute because of people slowing driving up the hill so slowly causing them to lose momentum and resulting in them either getting stuck or snaking all over the road. I have to admit I would be one of the go slowers for sure.. have not got a clue!

its a case of driving at the right speed in a low gear.. i drive slow in this, second gear most of the way home although dropped into 1st coming down a very big hill, gently touching the breaks as if i was drumming, I did not have too much problems but of course its other road users.. i kept well back of the car infront sliding everywhere and put the hazards on only to be overtook by some numpty in a range rover who then went into the back of the car infront of me..
I dont like driving in it, but feel many road users dont know how to drive in it.

Don't me get started on the 4x4's. There was one (I was nebbing out of my bedroom window) who was coming down the road as if it was summer - fair enough the car can cope with it but what happens when, like in this instance, round the corner a normal car was struggling to get out of the estate onto the main road and was gradually edging out. The 4x4 very nearly drove straight into the car, would have been a nasty accident if there was anything driving on the other side.

So what if the 4x4's can cope with the snow, others can't and care has to be taken, consideration taken and an overall sense of how to drive safely.. a cocky driver isn't a good driver. Reet, I'll stop with my sermon now. Just get annoyed by the big cars driving selfishly and without consideration (some of them!) My friend has a 4x4 and didn't relise you actually have to turn the 4 wheel drive on - hehe
