They take the money when the shopping is loaded onto their trucks, if you dont want substitutions then that money is refunded.. the driver had left the store earlier and thats why i was charged.
Anyhow, he got up the hill, bags of shopping all over the kitchen floor atm. We invited him in and gave him a cuppa and a bottle of whisky my OH had been given. He is also refunding me my delivery charge and £13 cost of a joint of beef.
He was lovely and friendly so im not feeling so bad now.. if he had have been upset withme then he wouldnt have come in for the cuppa! I explained to him tesco had taken the money so i couldnt afford to buy more shopping.. ah well a good end i guess.0 -
I've just found another website which doesn't accept Electron - Macmillian Cancer Support! I want to make a donation in memory of my uncle who was cared for by brilliant Macmillian nurses but unfortunately passed away this week. I'm so frustrated by it as I really wanted to do this and can't find a way to do so.BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500

oh light, that is awful :-(
Do you have a prepay card or paypal account? otherwise just wait until you see a charity box.. when i was in town yesterday there was a band playing carols, they were supporting macmillian, i donated all my change (around £7) as it is something close to my heart, my adoptive mom, my gran, nan, aunt, brother-inalw all died from cancer. macmillian do fantastic work and need supporting.
After my BIL died at the age of 38 leaving behind a wife and 6wk old baby the whole family spent a year fundraising and raised £125000 in total (about 8 years ago) and since then every wedding or engagement has seen guests donating to both macmillian and st catherines hospice..
The big C is a awful disease and to watch someone close go through it is heartbreaking.
My thoughts are with you. xxx0 -
Aw no light, ditto. I bet you are so frustrated, I was. I had to go into NatWest with the donation account details and give money in person. It's really not ideal because you want to give at that time but at least it's something to think about in the new year. The big C (that's what I call it too) my Dad is never too far away from my thoughts. Bloody ell man, it's Christmas pull yourself together wumman!
Hope you're ok light, take real good care of you and yours x0 -
Oh light, I forgot, you can send a postal order donation too!0

Morning all, the thaw has started!! snow dropping off roofs the snowman just lost his nose! I think it has given rain today so should clear most of it.
OH is working but just until dinner, iv got the heating on full.. the washer on christmas music in the background and a joint in the oven. I feel sooo good today!0 -
We had snow overnight and this morning (my merry christmas dear wasn't quite as it should have been.. I woke up to ''oh sh*t!'' because of the surprise snow
Never mind, kids are screaming, litterally screaching while they're dancing to Noddy Holder and the like, DH finishes at 1 so is going to take girls out in yard to build a snowman.. their waterproof gear has arrived, that was so quick! I'm chuffed, they can play for hours!
I'm trying to get everything done so I can go soak in the bath with a glass and get ready for family coming to share the madness later.
Christmas music is the best!0 -
