Matching kitchen cabinets

..sorry for the flood of posts - lots to do in the new house!
I'd like a couple of extra kitchen units, how do I go about finding out what the existing doors/ends are from? How do I identify the range? Or find a good match? Can people just identify them by sight?
First thought was to take a door to Howdens, but then they say that they only sell to trade and I couldn't find the locations to go see them in person.
Cheers!

I take it you've looked for obvious things like a name on the hinges!
Appliances are sometimes a clue (like Hygena and Diplomat being MFI). Magnet plinths are higher than 150mm ... which is the industry standard ... so are IKEA's (so are Four Seasons, come to think of it - but only by 5mm). There are lots of little clues.
I think your only option is probably to take a sample door round to kitchen suppliers. Have you got any small independents near you - if the owner has been in the business for a long time, he (or she) might well recognise the door - but it's likely to be a long and tiring search (and nobody's going to be very keen to help you, I'm afraid). Could you ask the previous occupants where they got the kitchen from?
What sort of doors are they? Are they timber? Because, if so, new ones aren't going to match the older ones anyway. Do the new units have to match? Could you get away with a contrast?I write blogs about kitchens ... and I design kitchens for a living ... I just love kitchens!0 -

Thanks for the ideas ... no obvious clues from those ideas sadly but I'm going to show the door around and see what comes up.
Thanks!

Do you have a contact for previous owners still? We had our previous owners mobile number they kindly gave us and we luckily found the same supplier of granite when we broke some which was very useful as he had an offcut left from several years ago when thy did the original kitchen

Can you take a photo and post on here. Someone might recognise it.'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.

Finally got around to doing this .. I'll bet it's MFI.
The inside of the cupboards has a recurring 'e' motif everywhere, clue?

b&q kitchen cabinets have a coffee bean motif that looks like an e.
looks like it could be ivory classic from the "IT kitchen" range.0 -
