PPI claim and loan cancelling

Hi

wondering if anyone can help me

I have been making a claim for PPI money back, it is currently with the FOS.

I still have the loan on which the PPI is being claimed against, but shortly I willl be getting a lump sum of money which I will be looking to take out a much smaller loan and combine the two to pay off this larger loan.

Am I able to do this while this PPI claim is still ongoing? If so what will happen if the FOS rule in my favour, will I just get the lump-sum of money back from Barclays?

thanks in advance

Darren

    Hi Darren

To br honest I am not to sure on this, so wait for some advice before you do this, it may be okay but as you have a case which is now involved with the FOS, it may change everything, but do not quote on me.
Hopefully someone who may have done this themselves will post up with some advice on this one for you.
Otherwise you could start your own thread so this does not get missed.

Good luck with this and hope you hear soon from the FOS with some good news.
How long have your case been with the FOS?

If you really need to pay this off then i am sure (ish) that this would not make a difference to your case with FOS if after paying it off you let them know. You will of course have to pay it off "including" the PPI and whatever they rebate against it and interest on the PPI and rebate but this would be taken into consideration if you win the case. I would just inform FOS that you are doing this and perhaps it might hurry along your case too.
