Stag Weekend in Amsterdam - Hotel Info needed

I'm looking for hotel accomodation for a stag weekend in Amsterdam for 2 nights in July. Do people have any recommendations of hotels or perhaps search engines? Basically trying to keep the cost down but a 10 minute walk would be fine to the city centre.

I've had a quick look at existing posts and found some useful information. Any further information would be great.

Some of the 'inner' hotels are very expensive in July. You can also look for one that's say, 10mins away but next to a tram stop. Holiday Inn is one of those, then you can get a cab home at night if you dont fancy the walk.
