90 days to start a chargeback ?

Hi there :)

Am now re-instated after having my hands smacked. Thanks again for those offering me advice, it was much appreciated. Perhaps you could help me out with this one please ?

Am I correct in thinking that as a buyer you only have 90 days to start a chargeback with Paypal ? I have an item, which was paid for on March 7th, that I need to post to a buyer who in the past 90 days has apparently moved address. I have checked both the original and new address on 192.com and B4Usearch.com but can't see a link to this guys name.

Here's the guy's feedback Feedback

I would obviously prefer to post to the original address but realise that it would be highly inconvenient if indeed this guy has moved.

The item is worth a lot of money and I can't help feeling that I could end up being out of pocket and without the item if he does in fact turn out to be dodgy and starts a chageback ! Been stung once, don't want to be stung again !

Thanks :)

He can initiate a chargeback directly with his credit card up to 180 days.
If he does paypal will also charge you a fee of £7.

Only sent to a CONFIRMED address & the address that the Paypal payment shows, if need be refund the payment (you'll get your fees back then) & ask the buyer to update there account with the new address & pay you again so it should show the new address on there. Hope that makes sense.

I presume you are still in touch with your buyer? Why haven't you asked them to update their contact details earlier?
It's all about protecting yourself, and you have every right not to send it if you think the address is wrong, but what gives you the indication that it is? Has the seller asked you to send it to a different address.

Tell them that without the new address showing on ebay - no sale.
