My 11yo DD is playing Professor Layton at the moment, but the game she always goes back to is Animal Crossing Wild World. You can make it as much of a challenge as you like - planting trees to sell the fruit, weeding, talking to other animals and sending them letters, or buying and designing your own clothes patterns.

    I love it, and I'm nearly 40.

Puzzle quest is another game that's utterly addictive - lining up objects a bit like bejewelled, doesn't sound great, but it just works!

Drawn to Life is another good one - you draw your own features, we got this game very cheaply, DD loved it, but needed a bit of help with it via cheats off the net.;)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Photogenic
I personally wouldn't get Imagine Wedding, I got it for my DD2 who's 11 for her birthday.
It only took her 5 minutes to "complete" it and hasn't touched it since
We all play one of the Zelda games which is good but it's not multi-player :o
  • Another game which is fantastic is club house games, It had at least 40 different games on it and I think its impossible to complete! I love it

Another suggestion is Harvest Moon, I've got a version of it on the Wii and it is really addictive.

Scribblenauts is a great game. (£20.24 on Amazon)

You can type anything in an it appears.

From puppies to cake, or , the Flu Virus or a UFO.

Anything you can think of can be entered into the game and you can use it to solve the games.

For example, one part you have to wake someone up who is sleeping, most people might enter alarm clock, but I choose to type snake and they woke with a jump.

Its a brilliant game for all ages.

The sugestions on this thread seem to be good, best games to avoid are movie based ones as they tend to be rushed with little quality or gameplay.
  • glad to leave my advice
    - Cooking Mama 3
    - Scribblenauts
    - Professor Layton Series (Curious Village and Diabolical Box)
    im sure this helps
  • Cooking Mama is good. Try Asda it might be under £20. It's on Play.com for £14.99 but out of stock at the moment.
