Miller Brothers Electrical stores: clearance (merged)

Hi MSE's

Just been to Miller Brothers Electrical Superstore and found some of the shelves around the store pretty bare. I asked the sales assistant the reason for this and he said that the company is to be taken over but he wasn't sure. I reckon they are going through a hard time maybe into receivership and clearing the stocks.

Did see some good prices but all items were reduced. Go on, get there and bag a bargain. I visited the derby branch.

Good Hunting.

I believe Miller Brothers own QED and if you look at both sites they have the same look and feel.

Maybe they're thinking that if they can make QED work so well what's the point of having loads of very tacky, empty stores for the sake of it. Their Milton Keynes store is a dump.

    Yes thats them

I wouldnt chance buying anything from the site if there in receivership.

The customers that bought from the stores are having a hard time getting goods.

I haven't seen it in three years, but when I bought a TV from it some time ago, the retail experience was terrible. Price was good though.

Shop looked like it was a set from "Life on Mars" apart from the modern goods. Expected to see the words Morris, Austin and Alegro on cars outside.....

ROFL! You've hit the nail right on the head there mate. :rotfl:

Thinking about it, i've never bought one thing from that store over the years. I've sometimes gone in for a quick price check as there's a Currys very close.

I think that retail park might be jinxed. Do you remember the Tempo store that used to be next door?

So many people now buy electrical products online that electrical stores are sure to change/diminish over the next few years.

Only 25% off in the Leeds store. Most of the quality items, such as LCD tv's etc have all diasappeared from the shelves. I don't think people have ben buying them, as they were more expensive even with the discount, than web retailers.
