Do banks report linked addresses to CRAs when...

you only hold a savings account with them?
Yes, I know it's a question re: a savings account, and this is the credit card board, but I'm reckoning this board may be more credit record aware than (perhaps) on savings. Sorry if I'm wrong on that.
Bit complicated, but Alliance and Leicester ran a routine money laundering credit check on me a couple of months back when I opened a savings account with them (for the Quidco money back). That, and my other couple of accounts are still registered to an old address I only just moved away from (and I'm still on the electoral roll at).
I'm trying to keep things tidy on my credit record (please-can-i-have-a-mortgage-please-can-i-have-a-mortgage...), and since I'm moving *again* in another month, I'm leaving this extra short-term 'new address' out of it using mail-forwarding, as otherwise things could just get chaotic, and the extra moving would double dip my credit rating. Possibly.
But the postal strike is a pain in the bum. And Alliance and Leicester seem to take an age to generate a new pin number (to gain access online). If I told them to update my address, might they link this extra address for the CRAs? Given that it's A&L will I regret asking them to complete any elementary admin change anyway??
Bear in mind I'll probably close this account soon, as once I've got the cashback, neither the interest rate nor the service are keeping me interested...
Thanks all!

If they done an ID check on you then yes a link can be created if the CRA's pick up on it. The savings provider wouldn't create it, N Hunter or the CRA themselves do it (automated process when it picks up the 'link')

argh, what a pain N Hunter etc are.... Just to clarify, the interim address doesn't appear anywhere at the moment.
Okay, will stick with the snail-slow mail-forwarding, and wait patiently for the time when I can spend more than six months at one address (please-give-etc. etc.)Now: off-set mortgage *up-and-running*...

The interim address will show if you change addresses on any accounts or apply using it mate...

Yep, okay - I haven't used it for anything yet, so it doesn't appear. That was what I was wondering!

Following on from the above posts, does anybody know whether having too high a number of linked addresses can impact negatively on a credit report if the most recent address is greater than 6 months?
If so, how many linked addresses is too many?0
