SMP is counted as earning and not a benefit so it wouldn't be in the hand book. If your SMP is more than £95 a week then you are not entitled to CA.0

If you have childminding costs or costs for someone to look after the disabled person while your at work this can sometimes help reduce your SMP (Or earnings for that matter) below £95 weekly.0
