Hey,
I recently bought a new computer after my old one broke down on me. I bought a SATA IDE Wire to transfer files from that old HDD on to my new computer via USB. The only thing is i cant get to my old files. You see when i was on the old one there were 2 different user accounts and i had mine passworded. So when i try click on the 'Kelly' file it wont let me go any further as it is passwork protected.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get around this? Any help would be great!

Right Click the folder, Security tab\Advanced button take ownership of the files/directories. If the security tab isn't available, disable Simple File Sharing and it should return. More here:

HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
